We have heard alcoholic drinks referred to as "spirits." This apparently became a term used, because of Aristotle. According to VinePair.com, Aristotle coined the term "spirits" for the distillation process. He felt that the alcohol put spirit into the body of the person who drinks it. Depending on how you decide to interpret that, you could be thinking, "I don't want a ghost in me!" Oh goodness now. "Spirit" could be referring to just a move lively aspect of your countenance. But sometimes, when we imbibe too much, we might think like someone else has taken over our body!
In many parts of the world, invertebrates such as snails provide a source of sustainable protein. IGGPPC staffer Mafalda (@JustCombined) shares a little bit about the traditional Portuguese caracoletas, or cooked snails!
The recipe I'm using is a super simple chocolate chip cookie, the only thing that I'm altering is the ingredient that transforms them into Spooky Cookies. If you want a different kind of cookies you can also transform them by using this simple ingredient.

One of my favorite things about Halloween is when you can invent "new" names for food. In this case I wanted to use vampire blood, zombie brains and orc meat. For vampire blood we have the black pasta, which is made with squid ink. What can resemble like zombie brain? Shrimp, of course! And for orc meat? Spinach! And everything put together you will have a super yummy and healthy monster pasta dish to comfort you.
Of course, we wouldn't bring back IggleNoms without a recipe, so here is a super yummy Pumpkin Bread with Chocolate Ganache.
Ready for more s'mores?! I went crazy and made a candy bark inspired by s'mores... melted chocolate and a bunch of classic s'mores ingredients. Now let's get to it... time for s'mores bark!
Birthdays are one of those special occasions that we can eat, eat and eat whatever we want. Savory or sweet, the sky is the limit. The title says it all. Ice cream and GIANT cookie: it’s the mix I choose to celebrate the IGGPPC birthday.
