This year's Her Universe Fashion Show was all about the Power of Fashion, inspired by the hit animated series, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. Twenty-four designs took the runway, all inspired by the powerful characters so many love and admire. Here are some highlights of the show, along with the winners!
For the 5th year in a row, Thursday night at San Diego Comic-Con was taken over by geek couture thanks to the Her Universe Fashion Show. The annual event aims to bring a New York fashion week style event to the convention every year, proving that geek fashion can be high end and that it is here to stay. This year's theme was "Milestones" and the designers certainly delivered some breathtaking pieces to the event. We've got all the looks right here, plus the three winners who will be creating an Avengers-inspired line for Spring 2019 for Hot Topic.
Here are IGGPPC, we like to turn the spotlight onto small, geeky businesses, especially those run by women. Let's get to know a little more about shop owner Sarah and her awesome business!
And that's what I love about Elhoffer Design-- the commitment to high quality, affordable designer pieces that flatter all kinds of body types, the celebration of lady/femme-nerds, and, I cannot emphasize this enough, the inclusion of functional POCKETS in the designs.
