Around the IGGPPC, we love our pets both real and digital. This month’s theme, Feed Me, Human! is an homage to our pets that exist in cyberspace. Somewhere between Pogs and Furbies, the “it” toy to have was the Tamagotchi. A keychain-sized digital pet that required love, attention, and care - and would die without them. These digital friends have adapted to our smartphone apps and exist in new games like Neopets, Animal Crossing, and Pokemon Go. The IGGPPC staff are here to share a bit about their virtual critters and introduce some IRL pets too!

The Great Geek Girls series will explore women throughout history with passion for their craft, field, or interest. Girls who were geeks before the word geek even existed. Kindred Spirits who MOST DEFINITELY would have been iggles.
Each year the IGGPPC heads off to virtual summer camp. Connecting all across the globe, our online campgrounds host campfire stories, s’mores, movies, crafts, games, and friendships in the making! We asked our Camp Staff and Troop Counselors to share a bit about their camping experiences, both with the IGGPPC and out in the world.
Welcome, one and all, to the annual IGGPPCamp Cup Challenge! This year our three troops - Troop Nook, Troop 626, and Troop Paradox - are vying for the distinction awarded by the Camp Cup badge. The winning troop will go down in the IGGPPCamp history books as a troop whose teamwork and dedication will be remembered for generations to come!
There are a couple of favorite films that come up every year at IGGPPCamp - the 1998 Parent Trap, Addams Family Values, Wet Hot American Summer, Troop Beverly Hills, Friday the 13th - but all of these films are post 1980. As time marches on and we leave the 20th century behind, these films are entering the realm of classic film but, for this year’s Camp, let’s check out some older films. Not all of these are strictly about summer camp but they do all feature camping...in one form or another.
There's nothing better than a good ghost story when you're sitting around the campfire. Let's stoke the fire, pull up a chair, and get ready to swap our best spooky tales.
With a growing game collection and limited time to just be friends (separate from being employed adults, parents, etc.), we were seeking a way to play together more and thus was born...104 games in 52 weeks. Welcome to the table! See what we played in June.
