RISE AND SHINE, CAMPERS!

Well well well, campers. We are back again! The IGGPPCampgrounds are open and the sounds or fun and friendship fill the air. This year should be LEGENDARY! To all our returning campers – WELCOME BACK! Feel free to grab your favorite bunk and don’t forget your sunscreen before heading down to the lake! Looking at you, Lifeguard Tater!

New to camp? HI WELCOME! We know camp can feel like an overwhelming experience, but we always encourage new campers to take their time, try new things, and stay hydrated! We put together a NEW CAMPER GUIDE to help you find your way around the campgrounds.

Some of the feedback we’ve gotten from years past is that it can be confusing to find out what’s happening when. To help with that, I’m going to break my daily posts into “Live” and “Own Time” activities. The “Live” activities will be happening at a set time while the “Own Time” ones will be things you can complete whenever you want! Your troop may have some additional activities that are not on the main schedule, but your counselors will be able to guide you to when those are happening. And again – Camp should be first and foremost FUN. It is a lot, and we know it. But the point of camp is not to do EVERYTHING, it’s to do the things YOU want to do. We hope there is something for everyone out there and that you end this weekend feeling like you’ve had camp your own. <3

Those of you who signed up for a cabin should have gotten a link to our Camp Discord server. If you didn’t sign up or missed the link WELL HERE IT IS AGAIN. If you take a wrong turn on the trail, give a holler to us on twitter and we will help you find your way!

Ok, ok – time is all wibbly wobbly, but we still exist in it. I highly recommend checking out the full camp schedule for more info about these awesome events and to use this tool to convert times into your time zone! On Your Own Time!

In the ARTS & CRAFTS shed we are making Leaf Cards with Camper Belette as well as a Beasts of Legend Bookmark craft led by Lily! What’s happening in the MESS HALL? Our S’MORE OF THE DAY is a S’mores Granola Recipe from Camper Dittany, and I (Director Sumsy) have a recipe for a tasty Pomegranate Punch! And for those campers planning to stop by the divination tower, we have an Intro to Tarot Lesson with Camper Science Nut!

My bag for camp always had a book or three ready for a quiet moment. Every day of camp, IggleBookWorms are going to be here to share some of our favourites.
