Welcome to spooky season! It’s always hard to narrow down the possibilities when it comes to Halloween and cross stitch. We wanted something that was in line with the theme of our Hallowiggles Halloween Party later this month – Phantasmagoria. If you had to Google what that is (like me), the definition is “a sequence of real or imaginary images like those seen in a dream.” It also describes a form of horror theater used in the late 18th century and 19th century that would project terrifying imagery by use of lanterns and other techniques.
What better suits that definition than a ghostly apparition carrying a lantern?
