Well, look at that! It’s day three and the halfway point of our five day IGGPPCamp yoga challenge! If you missed day one, check out this post or check out day two’s challenge here. It’s never too late to join in! So, let’s get to it!
How the challenge works:
As a reminder, there are two parts to every daily challenge: a challenge yoga pose and a location. It is your task to go out into the world and do this pose in that location. You are encouraged to take a picture (or most likely, have someone else take a picture for you) of yourself doing the pose in this location and to share it to social media! Can’t go outside because of weather or season? Get creative with the challenge and find a different way to complete it! We have a special hashtag for this challenge: #yogigglechallenge and always be sure to use #IGGPPCamp!
Don’t know the pose? It’s okay, scroll down and watch the instructional youtube video I found for you!
Here’s today’s challenge:
Pose: Downward Facing Dog
Location: Anywhere, but do it with a friend! (Furry friends count too!)
Today’s pose is Downward Facing Dog with a friend! Remember to snap a photo and tag it #yogigglechallenge and use #IGGPPCamp!
Downward dog has been a tricky one for me because I never felt like I was doing it “right.” If you feel this way too, make sure you check out the wonderful instructional yoga video below!
Need more yoga today? Downward Facing Dog is another one of those yoga poses that you see in a lot of flows, so here’s one that I love for today! This is a great morning flow!
This is one of my favorite poses and while I’m not amazing in my form, it always feels soooo good to stretch into it and just relax for a bit. I LOVED the video you posted – I love how she started with the “puppy pose” and was constantly moving and talking about how to fall in love with the pose. That is such a great way to think of it! <3 THANK YOU TOASTY!
