No camp is complete without a canoe ride, so today at the IGGPPCamp Iggle Fitness boot camp we’re bringing you some excellent rowing exercises.

You will need an implement today. If you happen to have an oar, fantastic! If not, grab a broom or a mop.

  1. Sit in a chair with your knees bent, or on the ground with your legs stretched in front of you.
  2. Hold your oar (or broom/mop/long stick) chest high, arms straight out in front of you.
  3. Relax your elbows, bending them to an approximately 45 degree angle.
  4. Dip the right side of your oar down, behind, and back to neutral. Repeat on left. (Motion is that of a kayak row, rather than a rowboat or dual-oar row.)

Tier 1: Complete 3 sets of 10. (1 dip on each side = 1 rep)

Tier 2: Complete 5 sets of 10. (1 dip on each side = 1 rep)

The picture we want you to share with us on Twitter @IggleFitness today is what you used as an oar. Was it a broom? Was it a mop? Or do you actually have an oar? Don’t forget to use the hash tags #IGGPPCamp #IggleFitness
