I will of course be indulging in the talents of the Winchester brothers over Halloween. I’m here to share with you the top ten Supernatural episodes to make things extra Halloween-y.
1) Bloody Mary (Season 1, Episode 5)
The brothers face off against the urban legend of Bloody Mary, as an incantation unleashes a vicious ghost that travels through mirrors and gauges her enemy’s eyes out. You will end up avoiding mirrors for the rest of the night.
2) Asylum (Season 1, Episode 10)
What is better for a Halloween evening than an asylum? Join the brothers as they spend time in an abandoned asylum that drives its visitors insane.
3) Everybody loves a clown (Season 2, Episode 2)
Just when you thought clowns couldn’t get any creepier, Supernatural is here to prove you wrong. A very eerie clown befriends children in order to kill and devour their parents. Clowns are so awesome.
4) No exit (Season 2, Episode 6)
Jo decides to join the brothers on a hunt. Not just any hunt, the ghost of serial killer H. H. Holmes has come to play.
5) Monster movie (Season 4, Episode 5)
If you’re looking for an old-time horror movie feel, this episode is perfect for you. The Winchesters investigate strange murders that follow the patterns of old horror films. And you get to see in nothing but black and white.
6) Croatoan (Season 2, Episode 9)
Get ready for a supernatural disease that spreads through blood contact. Demonic virus with zombie-like qualities, ’nuff said.
7) Yellow Fever (Season 4, Episode 6)
Definitely one of my favorite Supernatural episodes of all time (my list is very long). A mysterious illness kills a few men through fright and anxiety and Dean gets infected. Comedic with a Supernatural twist.
8) My bloody valentine (Season 5, Episode 14)
When cupid (yes cupid) is accused of letting people kill each other for love, the brothers discover that Famine is behind the wining and literal dining. This episode is filled with gruesome scenes as well as a little bit of love.
9) The Benders (Season 1, Episode 15)
Getting used to every episode that has something that goes bump in the night, this episode can really bring on the scare when humans are hunting humans for sport. Ghosts are predictable, humans are not.
10) It’s the great pumpkin, Sam Winchester (Season 4, Episode 7)
Probably the most Halloween-themed episode in the Supernatural series. The brothers have to face off against a powerful witch who is determined to summon Samhain and have a bloodbath rain on earth. This fun episode includes angels, demons, witches, ghosts and zombies. Basically your dress code for a Halloween party.
So sit in a salt circle with some pie and wait for the lights to start flickering.

So many of the Monster of the Week episodes creep me out but Bloody Mary scared me. It was a spooky story I grew up with so for Supernatural to turn it into an episode played on my inner childhood fears.
I remember having friends in high school who wanted to try that during a sleepover. Needless to say, I walked home in the dark that night
Yeah the Bloody Mary was scary. I refused to go to the bathroom alone for days after someone told me the story. I watched almost all of these episodes on Halloween. Supernatural is one of if not the best tv show to watch on Halloween.
Did you have a scary Halloween? I am terrified of the Bloody Mary urban legend and it is something I will NEVER EVER say in front of a mirror.
Yellow Fever is definitely up there with one of my favourites! Dean’s scream had me laughing so hard!
