Hello IGGPPC Campers! Today I have a yummy and gooey recipe to share with you that’s a perfect treat for around the campfire. S’mores in a bag! It’s all the yumminess of a s’more but less messy.
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
- marshmallows
- chocolate chips OR chocolate bar
- bag of mini cookies (any flavour)
S’MORES IN A BAG DIRECTIONS:
Open up your bag of mini cookies and add in either chocolate chips or a broken up chocolate bar.
Now it’s time to ‘toast’ your marshmallows. There’s many ways you can do this: over a campfire or in your oven under the broil setting (watch them closely because they brown up quick under broil). However, if you’re like me and have a broken broiler, you can just heat up your marshmallows to make them gooey. This can be achieved either by putting them in the microwave (again, watch them closely because they can explode) or putting them in the oven on a low temperature. I made my marshmallows warm and gooey by putting them on some aluminum foil in the oven for 5 minutes at 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
Once the marshmallows are done, add them to your bag, throw in some more chocolate, and squish and shake up your bag while holding it shut.
Super easy, right? The last step is the best step… time to eat them! Grab a fork and eat your s’mores in a bag. They’re super sweet and gooey but your hands aren’t left sticky!
