What’s a better camp-themed breakfast than s’mores french toast?! Or lunch, or dinner, or second dinner…seriously, I could eat this all the time, or at least until I go into a sugar coma. Here’s the recipe, courtesy of this buzzfeed post, tweaked slightly for our purposes. If you want to make this, consider joining along with me on the morning of Sunday, August 21st, 2016, at 10 AM CST as we do a live s’mores french toast cook-along!
Ingredients:
Egg wash:
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk (I’m using half and half. Join me in the fatty deliciousness.)
- 1 and 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 and 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
Toast:
- 4 slices bread (I’m using Texas toast, which is a little bit thicker)
- 4 graham crackers, crushed into crumbs
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 2 tbsp. melted Chocolate, or chocolate-hazelnut spread (like Nutella)
- 2 tbsp. marshmallow fluff
- Mini marshmallows, for garnish
- Mini chocolate chips, for garnish
- Chocolate syrup, for garnish
Preparation:
- Whisk all the egg wash ingredients together in medium-large bowl
- Put the graham cracker crumbs on a plate
- Dunk bread in egg wash
- Press into graham cracker crumbs until covered
- Melt butter in a skillet on medium-low heat and cook bread for 2-3 minutes or until crumbs are crispy and bread is more solid
- Flip the bread and spread marshmallow fluff on one slice and melted chocolate or chocolate-hazelnut spread on the other
- Press slices together and stack
- Garnish with mini marshmallows, mini chocolate chips, and drizzle with chocolate syrup
Serves 2 (But let’s be real, that’s one serving for me.)
YAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSS!
We try it with Camper Alice, twice. We are getting better at it and this is really nice !

I don’t have marshmallow fluff, but I might be able to pull it off with just regular marshmallows…
