Welcome to the Craft Cabin!

Today we’ll be bringing the heart of the ocean to us. Hove you have been a board passenger in car or bus? Or have you ever been walking outside on a windy day and thought “I wish i had a way to make this moment totally tubular?” well have I got just the thing for you! Here I’ll show you how to make your very own finger-sized surfboard!

SUPPLIES

  • a piece of fairly sturdy cardboard
  • a thick needle or hole punch
  • scissors
  • an approx 10″ piece of string
  • whatever you want to use as decoration! paint, stickers, markers, etc

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cut a pointed oblong shape out of your cardboard, at least an inch and a half wide and 4-5 inches long.

2. Use your needle or hole punch to make a hole around a quarter inch from one end.

3. Tie one end of your string to the hole punch, and on the other make a sliding knot. (This end will go around your finger while you “surf)

4. Decorate! you can paint it, cover it in stickers or washi tape, draw all over it — whatever your heart desires!

Now you have a fun finger surfboard for the next time you’re a passenger on a moving vehicle or sitting outside on a windy day! Gnarly, dude!
