Why does your beach fun have to end when the sun goes down? This beach ball lantern will keep everything bright into the night.

SUPPLIES

Round transparent vessel (my samples are a dollar store vase that’s fishbowl shaped and a glass yogurt pot.)
Tissue paper in the colors you want for your lantern
Scissors
White glue
Water
Cup to mix glue and water
Sponge brush or similar
Led/electric tea light

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Cut or tear the tissue paper into strips.
  2. Pour the glue into the cup. Add a small amount of water to thin the glue a little bit.
  3. Using the sponge brush, apply glue to your clear vessel.
  4. Place the strip of tissue paper on top of the glue area and smooth down with the sponge brush.
  5. Repeat around the lantern with the other strips of tissue paper.
  6. Go over the whole lantern with another layer of the glue and water mixture, let dry.
  7. Put the led light into the lantern and enjoy the glow.

A couple of helpful tips:
To avoid overly sticky fingers, hold the lantern from the inside while applying the glue and tissue.
If the tissue tears, stick another piece on as a patch, just smooth over it with the sponge brush and glue mixture.

This beachball lantern provides a soft light that will illuminate your evening beach party.
