Step 5 – Thread your needle.

Step 6 – Use a running stitch to connect the marks on your fabric where the stars will be. A running stitch is done by running the needle and thread up and down the cloth at a regular distance.

Step 7 – Make a French Knot at each star mark. A French Knot is done by bringing the needle up through the fabric, placing the needle close to the fabric and wrapping the thread around it twice, keeping the long end of the thread pulled tight while putting the needle back through the fabric very close to where it had been pulled up, and pulling the remainder of the thread through the knot you have created. You could also just tie a knot if you are not comfortable using the French knot.

(Optional) Step 8 – You can embellish by embroidering the name of the constellation below the finished constellation and you can add extra star knots around the constellation as well.
