Probably by now you are thinking, where is the classic of the classics??? Where are the Chocolate Chip Cookies????? Well Chocolate Chip Cookies is the recipe I’m sharing and going step by step with you in this post…
I started with this recipe and I made my own changes. This cookie will be soft in the middle and crisp on the outside! Awesome to dunk in some super cold milk!
Are you ready?
Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of butter
- ½ cup white sugar
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 ½ cups flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 cup of chocolate chips (or 1 cup of chocolate chunks)
Pre-heat the oven at 350F.
Start by melting the butter and let it cool down a bit. Add the white and light brown sugars, mix all.
Next add the egg and the vanilla (I use my own vanilla that I made with a few vanilla beans and some vodka), mix everything.
Time for the flour and the baking powder, again combine everything with smooth movements, don’t over mix the dough, the specialists say that by doing that your cookies will be hard.
I only use chocolate chunks (use the cooking chocolate you prefer and just chop it) because, at least here, chocolate chip cookies are a little expensive, and I do like that by chopping the chocolate there will be some that will melt all the way and mix with the dough. But that is only my opinion, you can totally just use chocolate chips or a mix of both!
The dough will be soft, but as it rests it will harden a bit.
Grab an oven tray and lay cooking paper, I don’t use butter or flour or any kind of spray, the cookies will come off easily enough, but again, do as you most feel comfortable.
I use 2 tbsp to help me form the balls.
Depending on the size, you’ll end up with 9 to 12 cookies.
Oven time! Bake them for 10 to 15 minutes. It will depend of your oven. I start looking at them after 10 minutes and I remove them when the outside start to golden up. Grab a spatula and put them in another dish. Don’t be scared if they look super soft and you see them almost break, as they cool down the cookies will harden.
That is it! Your house will smell incredibly amazing good.
You know what you can do with this cookies???? S’mores!!!!! Talking about it, you can use almost every cookie to make s’mores…
