We truly are in the golden age of streaming and there are so many things vying for our attention! That being said, there are some that stand out from the crowd in some big ways, especially shows based on our favorite Geek Loves aka our fandoms. In that spirit, here are the top 5 Netflix shows we’re most excited about for 2026!

Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials

We are huge fans of murder mysteries (just look at some of the past themes of our annual Halloween Party!) so it should be no surprise that a new Agatha Christie adaptation is right at the top of this list. Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials is classic whodunit, with a stellar cast including Mia McKenna-Bruce, Helena Bonham Carter, and Martin Freeman.

From Netflix:
England. 1925. At a lavish country house party, a practical joke appears to have gone horribly, murderously wrong. It will be up to the unlikeliest of sleuths — the fizzingly inquisitive Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent (Bruce) — to unravel a chilling plot that will change her life, cracking wide open the country house mystery. A witty, epic, and fast-paced drama from the Queen of Crime, Agatha Christie, is brought to life in a thrilling new version for Netflix.

One Piece – Season Two

The second season of One Piece, the live action adaptation of the continually popular manga by the same name, is titled Into the Grand Line and follows our beloved Straw Hats on the next phase of their quest for the legendary One Piece treasure. This adaptation is a fun dose of adventure and a good entry-point for new fans who want to discover the world of Monkey D. Luffy but might otherwise feel overwhelmed by the years-worth of anime episodes or manga to catch up on.

From Netflix:
Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line — a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn. As they journey through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they’ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies.

Bridgerton – Season Four

We love a good romance around here and Bridgerton hits so many of the happy notes — fun storylines, beautiful costuming, bright colors — it’s such a fun watch. The fourth season is a Cinderella storyline which will make it fun to watch play out, plus it’s nice to know something will have a happy ending when you need a good comfort watch.

From Netflix:
Season 4 turns its focus to bohemian second son Benedict. Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down. That is, until an enthralling woman captures Benedict’s attention at Violet Bridgerton’s (Ruth Gemmell) masquerade ball. While Benedict knows his love interest as only the Lady in Silver, she’s actually Sophie, a resourceful maid with her own secrets and dreams.

Big Mistakes

Schitt’s Creek
holds a special place in our hearts (and in IGGPPC lore at this point) so it should be no surprise that we’re excited for Dan Levy’s next foray into comedy. Big Mistakes sounds like just the kind of zany sitcom to make us laugh when we need it this year.

From Netflix:
Dan Levy is back, and this time he’s bringing the family drama (and crime) with new comedy series Big Mistakes. In what promises to be a wildly dysfunctional, hilariously chaotic ride, the series follows two deeply incapable siblings who are blackmailed into the world of organized crime.

XO, Kitty – Season 3

We’re rounding this list out with another romance, this time a coming-of-age. XO, Kitty is a tv series from writer Jenny Han, a spin-off of her popular To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before series. The show follows Kitty, the younger sister of the books’ protagonist Lara Jean, as she grows and discovers more about herself at school in Seoul, all while honing her skills as a matchmaker. This is another fantastic cozy watch and we’re looking forward to season three!

From Netflix:
Following her heart to an elite high school in Seoul, teen matchmaker Kitty learns that life, love and family are more complicated than she ever imagined.
