Hello and welcome, campers! I hope you’ve been enjoying camp so far, because I’ve got a totally groovy recipe for you all to try today! A little salty, a little sweet, and totally filled with pizzazz – let’s make some galaxy themed popcorn treats! (Recipe from here)

Ingredients:

  • 10 cups popped popcorn
  • 10 oz black candy melts
  • 1.75 oz sixlets, blue
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 tbsp star sprinkles
  • 1 tbsp nonpareils, blue
  • 1 tbsp jimmies, white
  • 1 tbsp chocomaker shimmer rock candy

Instructions:

Step 1 – First up, you’re gonna want to do some prep work – throw down some parchment paper on a baking sheet, and go ahead and make your popcorn is popped! Once that’s all finished, throw your popcorn into a large mixing bowl.

Step 2 – Next, take those candy melts and put them in the microwave – there should be instructions on their package! Once all melted and gooey, throw those candy melts in the mixing bowl and stir it in real well.

Step 3 – As soon as the popcorn is evenly covered, take the mixture and spread it out onto the baking sheet you prepped earlier. Throw on the star sprinkles, nonpareils, jimmies, and rock candies.

Step 4 – Let it all cool naturally (or in the fridge!) until it’s hardened, then break it into smaller bits and mix in the marshmallows and sixlets. All done! Enjoy your treat!

I recommend playing around with this recipe a lot! If you wanna play around with some other sprinkle types or colors, go for it – and make sure to show me what you come up with!! One last note too, the serving size on this is a little big, but I figured you all would enjoy a treat you can easily share or store to snack on over the days! If not, I believe it’d be quite easy to cut down to a smaller portion size. Have fun, everyone!
