AI zombies vs Commander Ontari, not sure who’s worse at the moment.
That infamous scene from the season three trailer of Octavia beating Bellamy to a bloody pulp has happened, although most people were sure it would be because of Lincoln’s death and they were right. The group that escaped Arkadia comes back to the cave and Bellamy watches them all come in until he realizes Lincoln is not with them. After that Octavia beats him and Bellamy doesn’t let anyone stop her. It’s a pretty powerful scene that allows Octavia to release all the tension that has been building up towards her brother while dealing with the loss of Lincoln.
Meanwhile back in Arkadia, Monty is being warned by his mom that Pike is coming after him after she turned him in…so she wants him to leave. It’s hard to believe his mom is so sided with Pike that she’d give her own son up, but in the end she regrets it and allows Monty to escape. Monty does let everyone know on the radio and Kane plans on meeting up with Monty at the drop ship, even though they all know it’s a trap.
Kane, Octavia (who refused to be left behind), and Bellamy (as a hostage) go to the drop ship and lo-and-behold Pike is there with a gun to Monty’s head. Kane and Octavia are surrounded, which allows them to back off of Bellamy. Pike gives Bellamy five seconds to convince him he’s still on his side and Bellamy tells him he can show him where the cave is they’re all staying in. Octavia is furious and she and Kane are tied up.
Throughout the whole ordeal something felt off. I couldn’t believe, after all this time, Bellamy would give up his friends and soon you realize they’re taking Pike to the blockade. The Grounders take out Pike’s men and knock him out. Kane asks to go along to Polis with Pike, using the fact that they become the thirteen clan to convince the Grounders. It should go over well with Ontari, but he did manage to get on Lexa’s good side so you never know.
Before leaving, Kane has a talk with Bellamy, asking him if what he did to Pike was for his sister, or if it was the right thing, and Bellamy doesn’t answer him. I still find it hard to believe Bellamy is on Pike’s side after everything, but Bellamy’s character has taken a complete 180 from who he was a season ago, so it’s hard to say.
Without Pike running the show in Arkadia it allows Jaha and his brainwashed to take over. Raven flips out, telling Abby she needs to get the chip out of her head. Raven has an idea to use the bracelet that the 100 were wearing when they came down on the ship. The bracelet can destroy the chip without causing her any damage, unfortunately A.L.I.E. realizes this too.
She decides to torture Raven, by giving her back all the memories that destroyed her in the first place, such as Finn dying, or her almost death at Mt. Weather. She’d make the pain go away, but only if Raven summits. Not sure what that meant, Abby waits for Raven to wake up and she does, as A.L.I.E.
Jackson knocks Abby out and he, Raven, and Jaha tie her up. They give her the option to take the pill but instead uses Raven as bait. A.L.I.E. cuts Raven’s wrists open and she bleeds out, but obviously not being able to feel anything. In the end Abby takes the pill. For a second I thought she didn’t and was just playing them, but A.L.I.E. would know if she didn’t and in the end, Abby is seen giving the pills to the rest of Arkadia.
Jasper is on the hunt for the bracelets and manages to find them, but Jaha comes in at the same time, destroys them, and cuffs Jasper up. Somehow Jasper is able to break the cuffs, knock Raven out, and stow her away in a car while breaking out of Arkadia, but it’s not over there.
Out of nowhere we see Clarke, who is trying to find Lincoln. I was very surprised that Jasper even stopped and told Clarke to get in the car, considering he pretty much hates her for Mt. Weather. Clarke is rambling, talking about finding Luna, but Jasper flips and tells her to shut up. Finally Clarke sees the hoard of brainwashed Arkadians coming after them and she even kicks one out of the car when he tries to get Raven. In the end Clarke sees her mom leading the hoard and drives off, confused as ever.
The threat isn’t over there, we will have Ontari to deal with. The Ambassadors in Polis want her to state the names of all the Commanders, basically finishing her title. Since she doesn’t have the flame, she doesn’t know. Murphy is still trying to stay on her good side and tries to help, but in the end can’t figure out how unless Roan gets back with the flame.
Poor Murphy is still stuck in Polis, trying to get through each day without Ontari killing him. She even makes him her sex-slave (he actually wears a chained collar) but you can tell Murphy doesn’t want to. He even mentions Emori (not by name) but clearly states there’s someone else. Ontari basically threatens to kill him and then things get uncomfortable. The things Murphy does to survive. You have to wonder who he’s blaming at this point? Jaha? Clarke? Himself?
The next episode shows most of the young group back together, in what looks like the drop ship. We’re going to see some great reunions and some not so great (Clarke and Jasper). It will be interesting to see if Clarke can get the chip out of Raven, since she saw Titus take the AI out of Lexa or if Raven will figure out Clarke has the second AI and let A.L.I.E. know.
