After the huge success of Avengers: Age of Ultron (the film made $187.7 million its opening weekend, only beaten by it’s predecessor!), Marvel is getting ready for its next blockbuster, with Captain America: Civil War beginning principal photography in Atlanta, Georgia. Civil War is set for a release date on May 6, 2016, and will be shot in Atlanta, along with locations in Germany, Puerto Rico, and Ireland. Even more exciting is the casting news; if you’ve already seen Ultron (no spoilers!), and loved how tons of characters were brought in from the different films, you’ll also love Civil War. Here’s the entire casting list so far, with familiar and new faces. I’m interested to finally see T’Challa and of course, Falcon/Cap together make the best comedic duo.

As for the plot, this one is going to be interesting. As Marvel reports, the film “picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.” The film will center around the team fracturing and dividing into two, one side led by Captain America and another led by Iron Man. Can you say ultimate showdown? I don’t know about you guys, but I can’t wait to see this movie, especially since the superheroes won’t be fighting villains, but each other.  If you can’t wait another year for your Marvel fix, Ant-Man is set to be released July 17, 2015. In the mean time, enjoy the hilarious Civil War memes.
