I am back with another review for Loot Crate and they were kind enough to send me their Loot Anime March box this go round. For those that don’t know about Loot Crate, they are a monthly subscription service that offers different boxes such as Loot Pets, Loot Anime and Loot Gaming filled with geeky goods surrounding different themes. Recently they released another box called Loot DX, this one will cost you a whopping $49 including shipping and comes with high end collectibles and home goods that value at about $100. For comparison Loot Crate originally values at about $50 and only cost $20.
Let’s see what we got.
First up is this card holder/wallet shaped like a briefcase featuring Capcom’s Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney logo. If you aren’t familiar with Phoenix Wright, it is a visual novel video game previously released for the Game Boy. I love this lil cardholder, it even pops open like a briefcase!
Next up we have this awesome purple snap back with a design from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. While this isn’t an anime I’ve watched or a manga I’ve read, one of my friends is obsessed and has had nothing but amazing things to say about it. Almost makes me want to check it out.
Yu-Gi-Oh! socks, this brings back sooo many memories. I remember watching this every Saturday morning when I was younger. These socks are so soft and comfy. As with most socks that have a print on them the bigger your calf the more the print is going to distort, something to keep in the back of your mind if you are considering picking up any Loot Crate.
The fun thing about Loot Crate that few notice is that every item including the box itself has a purpose. If you turn this particular box inside out you can use the box itself in order to play with the Super Fight deck seen below. How awesome is that?!
My favorite part of every Loot Crate regardless of the theme is always the t-shirt. This tee features a design based off of the television show Ultraman Gaia. This incarnation is the 13th in the Ultra series and you can catch it on Crunchyroll. As usual, I get my tees in a Medium and this one fit just as well as the previous ones.
And the last item to make an appearance is this lil dust charm featuring Loot Anime’s Duel logo. It can also double as a phone strap should your headphones be in place.
Overall I am super happy with this box; you get awesome content that is relevant to the theme (at least I think it lives up to it), and it definitely exceeds the amount that the box actually costs. Loot Anime focuses on bringing you content from some of our favorite animes as well as some you might not have heard of, giving you the chance to watch a new show or check out a new manga.
If you like what you see and you are on the fence, click here in order to save $5 on your first crate. And as usual, feel free to drop a comment down below and tell me what you think of the Loot Anime March box.
Til next time!
