In the spirit of the theme for June, I’m waiting and hoping that some brainy iggle would conduct a very serious research on why Comic Con’s announcements can make us so hysteric!!
John Rhys-Davies, a.k.a Gimli, has just been announced as an attraction for 2015 Comic Con Experience, happening from 3rd to 6th of December in São Paulo, Brazil.
The event, having its second edition next December, debuted as a big success. Being the first huge event of the kind in Brazil, CCXP brought together fans of series, movies, manga, anime, comics and literature to celebrate pop culture and proved that Brazilian people are eager geeks.
Last year, many cosplayers were there getting along with our favorite stars: in its very first edition, the organizers were able to bring Jason Mamoa, Rebecca Mader, Sean Astin and Richard Armitage, who were there for an exclusive premier of The Hobbit – Battle of Five Armies. Along with them, the panels and movie sessions got the public wanting more. Besides Rhys-Davis, for the 2015 edition organizers have already confirmed Caity Lotz (Arrow), Steve Cardenas (Power Rangers) and Misha Collins (Supernatural).
Brazilian geeks, and I’m just glad to be one of them, are sure to have a good time this year. Tickets and passes are going on sale next June, 9th. Dust off your cosplays and start packing: there are only 6 months to go.
