Have you ever found yourself admiring a dastardly plot or a plan that’s sheer evil genius? You’re not alone. There’s just something about those characters that are so good at being bad. They can be a glimpse at the darker parts of our own imaginations. While we don’t want them to succeed at < name any number of disasters > we still need them to be a foil for our heroes. For all the work they do, and for the way we kind of love them too, this month is in celebration of Super Villains!

Our questions to you this month:

1) As a Super Villain, what would your super power be, and what is your primary mission?
2) Who is your nemesis?
3) What other villain do you most admire, and is this a crush?
4) With great evil comes great style, what’s yours?

1) As a Super Villain, what would your super power be, and what is your primary mission?
If I were a super villain, my superpower would be the ability to change the size of inanimate objects. My ultimate quest? To amass enough riches (robbing a museum would be easy if everything was pocket sized) to create the ultimate doll house, furnished with miniaturized antiques and classical paintings. “Why yes, that is the Mona Lisa in the parlour.”
2) Who is your nemesis?
My nemesis? The Curator. A Super Hero intent on preserving antiquities and historically significant objects d’art in museums for future generations to enjoy.

3) What other villain do you most admire, and is this a crush?
The Collector. He’s able to gather all of the most exquisite treasures from around the universe and maintain a profitable business too!

4) With great evil comes great style, what’s yours?
As for my personal style, there’s no reason a girl can’t be well-heeled and villainous. Think Marilyn Monroe from “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”. Pencil skirts and fitted silhouettes are chic and sophisticated, just like my taste in art.

1) As a Super Villain, what would your super power be, and what is your primary mission?
As a Super Villain, I’d say my super power would be telepathic communication with animals and my primary mission would be to convince them to rise up and take over the world.

2) Who is your nemesis?
My nemesis is clearly Mary Poppins, as she is a telekinetic Time Lord who thinks I should give the humans another chance at things, though she does appreciate a good conversation with my penguin friends. That is her weakness. I will triumph.

3) What other villain do you most admire, and is this a crush?
I most admire Catwoman because obviously. Her affinity for cats is just fetching, and I think we’d be BFFs if I could get her to see the advantages of also being friends with bats. It’s not their fault that an eccentric billionaire emulates their style!

4) With great evil comes great style, what’s yours?
Speaking of style, mine is certainly chic: vegan faux-leather jacket and pants that are good for being outdoors along with a killer shoe closet. Seriously, my stilettos are to DIE for.

1) As a Super Villain, what would your super power be, and what is your primary mission?
I’d be able to mute and paralyze people! These abilities would be of great use in my cause of Making Everyone Listen to Reason and Stay out of My Way So I Can Do Whatever I Want. I would definitely be prone to monologues, in which I would perfectly outline the benefits of conducting all of one’s actions in a calm & orderly fashion.

2) Who is your nemesis?
My chief opponents would be anyone who is illogical, anyone who interrupts me, anyone who doesn’t make sense (to my way of thinking). Also, people who eat loudly. I’m sorry, but all of those people would be confined to their own separate dining area, until perhaps they can be taught to take smaller bites & munch with their mouths shut.

3) What other villain do you most admire, and is this a crush?
I believe that Q from Star Trek would qualify to most folk as a villain… but I believe he & I would work quite well together, discussing what needs annihilated & what just needs reformed, then carrying those plans out together. I’m not sure it would quite count as a crush, since he’s, y’know, not really even existing in the same sort of way as I do. I picture it more as an Admired Mentor + Respected Underling relationship.

4) With great evil comes great style, what’s yours?
I’d wear fantastic black boots, pants, & shirt, & some sort of gray knit item (kind of a vest + cape thing?) that would have layers & layers & pockets & more pockets & at least one hood.

1) As a Super Villain, what would your super power be, and what is your primary mission? If I were a supervillainess, my power would be to unleash a horde of corgis upon my enemies, disrupting daily life and productivity with adorable snuggles and cuddles! Imagine how much work would be lost! Nothing would get done! Economies would crumble!

2) Who is your nemesis?
Because of this, my nemesis would be a The Dog Catcher. Only he would be able to wrangle my pups and foil my evil plots! I have a lot of admiration for villains that I can see a motive in. A villain that is just a bad guy just because isn’t going to catch my attention or admiration. I need to see a whole person, see their hopes and desires and motivations. Misunderstood villains are interesting to me as well, or villains that thing they’re doing what’s best for humanity, villains that don’t think what they’re doing is necessarily a bad thing or evil. They’re just going about it in a way different from the hero.

3) What other villain do you most admire, and is this a crush?
I guess I would have to say I really admire Magneto, because I can see his motives, his faults, and understand why he’s doing what he’s doing. He’s a very three-dimensional character.

4) With great evil comes great style, what’s yours?
As for style, I’m prooooobably the least apt person to answer this question, as I’m not stylish in the least bit. Maybe some cool corgi socks?

1) As a Super Villain, what would your super power be, and what is your primary mission?Oooo. I’d be a supervillain with the power to trap people in crazy, nightmarish dreams. But the nightmare would be particular to the person – whatever scares or intimidates them most. They’d have to navigate a bizarre, labyrinth-esque landscape until I let them out again. Look, I’d enjoy wandering around a nutty dream world! As a child I especially loved the elaborate backdrops cartoon characters would find themselves in and imagined whole worlds of them myself.

2) Who is your nemesis?
My nemesis would be someone who could manipulate sound to create music with incredible hooks or enclose me in a bubble of chatter and ambient noise. I’m easily distracted by sound, so it would totally break my concentration, thus setting my victims free.

3) What other villain do you most admire, and is this a crush?
Another villain I admire is the Riddler. Back in my Batman: The Animated Series watching days, he was hands down my favorite villain for being so darn clever and making Batman crack the most enjoyable riddles. (COMPLETELY PLATONIC APPRECIATION, OK.)

4) With great evil comes great style, what’s yours?
As for my style – I would leave elaborate graffiti above the beds of the victims I trapped – their bodies would be left lifeless in the real world while their minds are under my control! I’d leave my tag with a flourish and maybe some art with clues about the horrors that victim is succumbing to in dream-land. That would be my style because that’s all you’d see of me, because I’m THAT GOOD.

1) As a Super Villain, what would your super power be, and what is your primary mission?I would want a relationship with cats like Doreen aka Squirrel Girl has with squirrels. Actually, being part cat would be awesome too. Because of the understanding I’d have with all cats, I could send them in small places in their stealth mode to steal things, knock things over, and just cause a ruckus. Plus, they’d be quite the weapon with their claws. I would also then be able to climb trees and have near-perfect balance during our robberies.

2) Who is your nemesis?
My nemesis would be Super Person who uses a handheld dustbuster to scatter my army of cats. I would have to create a gadget that fries the batteries the dustbuster runs on.

3) What other villain do you most admire, and is this a crush?
I really admire Mystique and Magneto. Both of them have a rough past which has helped shape them so you end up liking these characters because you feel sorry for them once you realize what they’ve been through. They’re very complicated characters, but also total badasses.

4) With great evil comes great style, what’s yours?
I would definitely rock cat ears and an all-black ensemble. Something sleek that would provide coverage. I will be climbing trees and jumping onto ledges so it’ll be crucial to not have loose fabric to catch on branches or an outfit that may expose me mid-jump.

1) As a Super Villain, what would your super power be, and what is your primary mission? As a super villain, I would use my telepathic and telekinetic powers for world domination. Go big or go home, right?

2) Who is your nemesis?
My nemesis would probably be Superman, cause that dude’s so smug I just want to punch the chin dimple off his face.

3) What other villain do you most admire, and is this a crush?
I most admire the villains of Gotham (especially Catwoman – total crush) because they know that being a villain is not just about good and evil – and often the most important thing about being a villain is having a bit of fun!

4) With great evil comes great style, what’s yours?
My supper villain style is classic but memorable. I would wear something with sleeves, comfortable boots, and a cape that always billows – what’s the fun of being telekinetic if you don’t carry around your own wind machine to make yourself look cool?

1) As a Super Villain, what would your super power be, and what is your primary mission? As a super villain, my power would be exploding my body into 1,000 furry wombats who attack like crazed rabid insects! Then when I’m done destroying with adorable, my wombats would pile on top of each other and form to become me again.

2) Who is your nemesis?
My nemesis would probably be that dude from Curious George. Isn’t he like a zookeeper or something? Someone with a hated of animals… or who just wants to cage them up.

3) What other villain do you most admire, and is this a crush?
As far as what villain I admire (or crush on), that would have to be my love of so many Sailor Moon villains. The Deadmoon Circus and the Death Busters are definitely the most amazing, ridiculous, and over-the-top hilarious villains of all time.

4) With great evil comes great style, what’s yours?
I think I’d rock something like Sailor Iron Mouse (one of the Death Busters) has on.

1) As a Super Villain, what would your super power be, and what is your primary mission?
As I am already part cyborg/part goth I already have an early lead on evil superpowers. My power would be to jump between dimensions and take objects and living creatures with me, so I could abandon pesky do gooders in lands of rabid zombie rabbits.

2) Who is your nemesis?
I’d also quite like some borg like powers where I could create an army with a hive mind while wiping out pesky human emotions and unicorns. Because unicorns the only thing in the world more evil than me.

3) What other villain do you most admire, and is this a crush?
I have A LOT of love for many, many villains. The ones I love the most and admire, in no particular order, are: Hannibal Lecter, GlaDOS, Ursula, The Collector, Lemongrab, Beetlejuice, Psychomantis and Cruella deVille.

4) With great evil comes great style, what’s yours?
A villain is nothing without exquisite style, I would model my supervillain look on 1930s sirens like Marlene Dietrich and Katherine Hepburn because their fashion choices were fierce and timeless.

We want to know what your super villain powers would be! Leave your answers to the questions in the comments below!
