A few weeks ago it was suggested to me that I might try to whip up a post featuring some mailable food/food gift ideas that you can send to your pen pals. Finding mailable food items is kind of hard since some posts put restrictions on what you can and cannot send in terms of parishable foods. However! I think these things would be simple and easy enough to send through the mail with no problems (hopefully!).

Thanks to Pinterest, I’ve found six relatively easy things to make that you can send to your pen pal or future pen pal or even a friend or neighbor! They don’t require any cooking just getting ingredients and few what nots to put them together.

tea party in a box

Tea Party in a Box via Make The Best of Everything

Tea Party in a Box – Probably the best and easy way to send a little pick me up to a friend! Pack it with your (or their) favorite tea, a snack and maybe some thrifted tea cups and voila! Instant tea party from a loved one!

ice cream bar kit

Ice Cream Bar Kit via lilluna

Ice Cream Bar Kit – This one takes a little bit more work but the end result seems pretty rad if you ask me! All that would be needed from the recipient is ice cream!

granola

Homemade Granola via Intimate Weddings

Homemade Granola – Everyone likes granola right? Right!? Well..I mean..hopefully the person you send this to does. This one might be one of the easiest out of the bunch. You can pick a cute package to send it in too!

Smores-Wedding-Favor

S’more Wedding Favor via Elizabeth Ann Designs

S’mores On The Go – This one came from a wedding site with no really how-to but it’s pretty self explanatory! Make a bunch to send more than one because once you eat one s’more you’ll want…s’more.

ST_DIY_Mason_Jar_Cookie_Mix_Wedding_Favors

Cookie Mix Jar via Something Turquoise

Cookie Mix Mason Jars –  All these babies require is all the dry ingredients from a cookie mix. The recipient provides their own eggs, milk etc.

valentine-in-the-mail

13oz Or Less Sprinkles via Giverslog

Mailable Sprinkles – I don’t know how we’ll these would hold up during transport but the idea is cute and if done right they just might make it. You can also try putting a few different kinds in a box..maybe?

So that’s it..go out and mail some sweets to your friends! The gift of food is always a good one.
