When Loot Crate released their theme for February, I knew I needed it in my life! I am a huge lover of all things Deadpool and Zombies, so why not throw down some dollars for what they claimed will be an epic box. To back track a little, for those that don’t know what Loot Crate is, it is a monthly subscription box chock full of geeky goodness for a whopping $13.95 + $6 for shipping and handling. More often than not you will find some sort of wearable item (usually a t-shirt), a vinyl figure, a pin that showcases something about this month’s theme, and a random assortment of other similarly themed goodies.

On to the actual box! This month’s vinyl figure was an exclusive Deadpool Q-Figure and it is awesome! I am more than happy to proudly display the Merc with a Mouth being thrown in the air from an explosion on my shelf for all to see. This figure alone retails for the price of the entire LC box with shipping, so if you are looking to make sure you get the most bang for your buck, fear not. From here on out, everything is just an awesome add on.

The next item to pop out was a little weird until I read the info on the packaging. It is soap on a rope modeled after the ears Daryl collected from the walkers he killed back in Season 2 of “The Walking Dead”. If you aren’t already watching TWD, I highly suggest you check it out on Netflix. While I don’t think I’ll be using the soap it is still a nice little extra. For Halloween lovers like myself, this will be perfect to break out for a party – just leave it hanging from the mirror in your bathroom and now it is both decorative and functional!

While blindly searching for the next thing to pull out I came across this month’s pin! It is a Zombified Loot Crate Box. Way to go marketing!

Getting down to the wire, The Walking Dead Big Head construction set was the next lil piece to make its appearance. I am in love with Mcfarlane toys and I am so happy with the little blind bag figure I got. Like all their construction sets, you have to put them together yourself and since the pieces are so tiny I would not recommend this for a child (besides the possibility of swallowing, they may get frustrated with the teeny pieces). However if you love model cars, sets and 3D puzzles, this is right up your alley.

And last, but far from the least, was this month’s wearable. It featured the ever awesome Deadpool hanging upside down yelling, ‘Tacos!’. The t-shirt itself is soft and from LC’s sizing, it’s pretty accurate. I normally wear a men’s medium and it fits beautifully.

Included in every LC is a little booklet that talks about all of the goodies found in each box. You can also find links that help you access bonus content and giveaways that are limited to subscribers.

Bonus Feature – Level Up:

I haaaad to get my hands on the Level up item as well. For those that haven’t heard of Level Up, it is a separate subscription that allows you to get little add ons like an extra tee (not already included in the original crate), some socks, apparel and accessories ranging from jewelry to bags. I went for the men’s wearable, which was a pocket raglan featuring Michonne on the outside with her two walkers from seasons past sticking up out of the pocket. The shirt itself is $14.99 on LC’s website and I most definitely would have ended up paying at least $25 for it had I found it elsewhere. Like most tees I buy, I stuck with a medium and it fits just fine. It’s so soft and I love it!

And since I love Deadpool oh so much, be sure to stick around for another review from another subscription box that he was featured in!
