Hello, everyday cosplay folks! How has 2015 been treating you? Personally, I’ve been inundated with awesome new bits and bobs that I would love to add to my wardrobe’s arsenal! Here are some of the things currently on my wishlist, with links for anyone interested in bringing some of it home with them!
Harry Potter Broomstick Necklace by MyLittleWonder
Confession: I am obsessed with this necklace. There are many broomstick necklaces out there, but the detail that this one has, along with the lovely way it lays asymmetrically on the neckline make this one stand out from the crowd. It would be perfect for any everyday cosplay involving quidditch– Ginny in her Holyhead Harpies colors, anyone? It’s available at MyLittleWonder on etsy for $30US.
TARDIS Collector’s Watch by BBC Shop
Every traveling Time Lord knows the value of a good timepiece, and this one is a real beauty. I am a huge Whovian and am always on the lookout for good pieces that stand out from the norm, so this watch caught my eye immediately. It’s been in the BBC’s shop for over a year, but I continue to be impressed by it. It’s definitely on my wishlist for any Doctor Who everyday look. You can find it here for £149.99, or about $230 US.
Marie the Cat skirt by Secret Honey
If you haven’t seen this yet, there is a simply gorgeous line of Disney fashion in Japan called Secret Honey. Right now they have their Tangled collection featured, but I just love this skirt with Marie from The Aristocats. This was one of my favorite movies as a child and I love the renewed popularity it’s experiencing. The skirt comes in three different colors so you can everyday cosplay the sassy little kitten with pink, black, or white. You can get this piece here, though if you don’t read Japanese you may need a translator or friend who does. It runs at ¥8200, or about $68US and reviews say the sizes run smaller than US or European.
Harleen Harley Quinn cardigan by Hot Topic
You all probably know by now that I’m a frequent flier at my local Hot Topic and tend to stay on top of their trends and such. They are a great source for everyday cosplay accessories in particular, and if you live somewhere with a high import tax, I really feel your pain and suggest finding someone to be your go-between to deliver some of these tasty things! The latest piece I’ve been eyeing is this lovely cardigan featuring fan-favorite Batman villain, Harley Quinn. What I love about this one is that it’s a classic style but in Harley’s signature color scheme, so it would make pulling an everyday Harley look together easy. It’s available on the Hot Topic website and, as of this writing, is on sale for $35.60 US (reg $44.50).
Cinderella Glass Slipper Inspired Heels by SparklewithSteph
This shop is one of my more recent finds and I have to say that every pair of shoes posted is gorgeous, but with the upcoming release of Disney’s live action Cinderella, I’m particularly taken with these. The shoes are based on Cindy’s famous glass slippers and can be customized for either flats or heels, in your size of choice. Steph has a ton of other stunning, glitteriffic shoes on her site (I adore the yellow Snow White heels, too!) and I highly recommend checking them out to add some sparkle to your everyday wardrobe. This pair ranges from $50 to $75 US depending on the style and is available for a limited time in the SparklewithSteph etsy shop.
Fluttershy Element of Kindness necklace by edenki
The last item I have for you today is based out of Australian etsy shop edenki and is one that I think will be coming to my collection very soon. This necklace is based on the Element of Kindness represented by Fluttershy in the show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Now, I’m partial to Fluttershy, but if you’ve got another pony fave, check out this shop for all of the Elements of Harmony. You can add this necklace to your jewelry shelf for $22 AUD, or about $17.50 US.
