The holiday season is upon us and I bet you thought we’d give you a break…you were wrong! Keeping healthy is a year round process and we’re here to keep you motivated.

Before we show you December’s challenge, we thought we would introduce ourselves as we are the new Fitness team and this is our first outing.

Helen is a keen walker and hiker and is currently training for several runs (not marathons yet!) next year. She lives in the UK with her husband and has 5 year old step daughter and a 17 month old son. She used to be a dancer in a different life time but let things slip until she became pregnant and wanted to ensure that her and her family were as healthy as they could be. She is looking forward to building the Iggle Fitness community and helping everyone to be healthy.

Robyn is a certified Physical (B.S.) and Health Education (M.S. Ed.) teacher. She coaches a school dance team, is a School Wellness Council facilitator and founded a feminism club for high school students. During her free time she is usually at CrossFit (but swears most people would never know it), at the pole dancing studio, reading a book or binge watching something intensely nerdy… if the activity permits, there is usually a hot and/or adult beverage included. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she still lives there and shares custody of her (family) dog.

Meghan is of the body type that constantly has to be mindful of her activity levels and food intake otherwise she’s sure she’d be 200+ pounds. She’s also one of those constantly overbooked people so she loves quick and dirty workouts (10 minutes of stairs anyone?). But she’s also a runner (more like jogger/fast walker) who tends to run several half marathons. She also really enjoys lifting weights and trying various different studio classes (though she never sticks with one for long).

Christina has really only started trying to live a healthier lifestyle in the past few years. She is an avid cyclist and enjoys riding any kind of bicycle. She lives in WI with her husband and 6yr old son. She looks forward to helping all Iggles to get fit and healthy.

Christine is a 25-year-old lifelong vegetarian and unfortunate junk food addict. In the last couple of years she’s been starting to take steps towards healthy living to combat her depression and other minor health problems, and she thinks it’s been amazing to be surrounded by a community of supportive Iggles. Fitness-wise, she’s particularly interested in yoga, running, and biking, and also loves making and eating new vegetarian recipes!

Amanda is a yoga instructor who focuses on mind-body connections and living a mindful and healthy lifestyle. She loves to share healthy recipes, make fermented and cultured foods, and teach others about staying fit, healthy and loving the skin they’re in.

We have for you a traditional 30 day fitness challenge but we’ve given it a holiday twist, don’t forget to check in on day one and then let us know your updates throughout the month to ensure you get your achievement code!
