Daily Camp Cooking List

Day 1 – S’mores French Toast
Egg wash:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk (or half and half)
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp Cinnamon

Toast:

  • 4 slices bread (I’m using Texas toast, which is a little bit thicker)
  • 4 graham crackers, crushed into crumbs
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 2 tbsp. melted Chocolate, or chocolate-hazelnut spread (like Nutella)
  • 2 tbsp. marshmallow fluff
  • Mini marshmallows, for garnish
  • Mini chocolate chips, for garnish
  • Chocolate syrup, for garnish

Day 2 – Chocolate Chip Cookies
Materials:

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Wooden spoon
  • Cooking parchment paper
  • Baking tray

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup soft butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips (or chunks)

Day 3 – Lemonade
Materials:

  • pot
  • whisk (or other stiring utensil)
  • bottle for storing (preferably glass)
  • funnel
  • cooker / stove
  • sparkling water
  • measuring cup (if you don’t have one there will be tips how to do it with out)
  • sugar at least one cup per recipe

level 1:

    • passion fruit juice at least 1 cup

OR

  • black currant juice at least 1 cup

level 2:

    • rhubarb juice at least 3/4 of a cup + 1/4 strawberry juice

OR

  • pomegranate juice at least 3/4 of a cup + 1/4 strawberry juice

level 3:

    • lid for the pot
    • sieve as fine as possible
    • lime juice at least 1 cup + mint at least 1 cup

OR

  • lemon juice at least 1 cup + basil at least 1 cup

Day 4 – O’Henry Bars

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 6 cups corn flakes
  • 1 (12 ounce) package chocolate chips
  • 1 – 8×8 dish
  • a spatula
  • plastic sandwich baggies (optional)

Day 5 – S’Mores Dip

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 8 large marshmallows
  • graham crackers
  • cast iron skillet
